Description
The Model LFI-3060 Inspection Station incorporates a fully programmable X-Y table, which moves under a customer-selected optics package.  Allteq offers a wide range of optics package for use on the 3060.  The station is ideal for matrix/array type leadframes (up to 14 wide), multi-chip modules and large die.  The versatility of the machine will allow an inspection program that could include up to 250 steps.  Scan lines, jumps or inspection points can be made part of the inspection program.
Process Flow
A magazine of wire-bonded devices is presented to the LFI-3060 for inspection.  The 3060 can be programmed with four types of inspection methods which include 100%, Sampling, Auto AQL or Custom Mapping.  The magazine number is then entered along with the lot number and operator number (if required), into the machine.   Units are now presented under the microscope, camera or combination in accordance with the inspection method selected.  The programmable X-Y table then moves the device under  the optics package to the pre-programmed positions.  The operator can override the 3060 at any time and move around the device manually using the 3060's trackball control.  If the operator sees a reject unit in the inspection process, a reject code is entered.  The reject information and location can then be sent to the 3210 Data Collection Center for yield/reject analysis.  Optionally a reject tool can be used to identify the bad device automatically
